The purpose of this site is to help build unity of progressive people and organizations in the US
by encouraging people to focus on our most pressing problem and mixing our criticism of each
other with mutual support.
We, the progressive community, are facing another surge in conservative power. These two groups
progressives – people who want progress, and conservatives – those who want status quo or to go backwards have defined American life since the country began.
We can all agree
the main enemy and obstacle to progress is the current administration along with the lackey
Republican Party.
We can unite to focus our efforts on this main enemy or we can attack ourselves
and blunt our progressive efforts giving the conservatives more gains.
Our history in the US is one of progress. Conditions have changed so much for the better for
large parts of our population. Women, non-white people, gay people, working class people and all sorts of marginalized
people are much better off now than 200, 100, 50 or even 20 years ago.
This has happenned through the ups and downs of the fundamental struggle of progressive vs conservative
movements. Progressives have made the most gains when we are united and working together with mutual respect and support despite our differences.
Working together for the good of the majority of the people not to mainly build ourselves and our organizations.
We are in a time when the conservative movement is ascending.
We can stop it but we have to Unite to Fight the Right before it is too late!
I will do all i can to defeat the Right Wing Conservative movement by:
1. helping to build the unity of the progressive forces in the US
2. focusing on the current administration and the Republican party
3. working to elect any democratic party candidate running against any Republican
4. starting any criticism of progressive groups and individuals by supporting the good work they do and recognizing their situation that prevents them from accomplishing more
5. not attack other progressive groups and individuals without first contacting them and discussing our criticisms
